Renault Master 4x4

The Renault Master is a renown and proven vehicles in the world of transporters. Oberaigner enriches the potential of this versatile vehicle drastically by adding professional all-wheel drive technology including differential locks to enhance its potential for inferior driving environment and off-road.

The Renault Master 4x4 will be available at your Renault dealer throughout Europe in late summer 2012.

Back at the IAA 2010 in Hanover Oberaigner presented a study of the vehicle with 4x4 all-wheel drive to the public. With decades of experience in OEM AWD system development and production Oberaigner has developed the ideal 4x4 system for the Renault Master. The vehicle is currently undergoing final testing.

The AWD system is based on the vehicles with rear-wheel drive and is enhanced with a selectable Oberaigner AWD system including lengthwise differential lock as well as a low-range reduction gear for extreme slow driving with a ratio of 1:1.42. The system is activated by the push of a button in the cockpit.

The 4x4 system is very light and compact thus reducing excess weight and lifting of the frame to the minimum level only. Result: Only minor reduction in useful load (payload) and excellent handling characteristics. ESP and ABS remain active of course (temporary deactivation when AWD system is selected).
